Do you ever experience something that feels so wrong, yet so right when you go to a theme park?

Visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Florida is typically summarized as wish fulfillment. After all, you get to drink butterbeer, use magic, and ride some pretty incredible attractions. However, there is one other thing we like to do there that for any diehard Harry Potter fan feels…wrong.

If you’re a fan of the Harry Potter franchise, you know that Knockturn Alley is where a lot of the dark wizards like to hang out — menacingly. In short, the wizarding folk that frequent this alley are typically low in character. Hagrid famously calls it a “dodgy place”. So it’s only natural that we feel like we’re breaking some wizarding rules each time we visit!

This always-dark alley is located within the Diagon Alley land of Universal Studios Florida and can be hard to miss if you aren’t intentionally looking for it.

But don’t worry, despite feeling grimy and sinister, there are actually some pretty cool features within this outlet! The notorious Borgin and Bourkes sells fascinating dark arts merchandise and there are a couple of spots where you can use an interactive wand to get some magical results.

These dark corridors are truly unique — not only providing a completely different aesthetic from the rest of the park but serving as a fantastic place to escape the Florida heat, as well!

If you have a penchant for the dark arts or just like the weird and occult, we can forgive you for getting curious about this mysterious alley. A word of warning though — this part of the Harry Potter land can be a bit much for small children or anyone easily frightened so keep that in mind before exploring.
