Two lakefront Winter Park homes sold for a combined $18.95 million on the same day. See where. Two lakefront mansions in Winter Park, Florida, sold for a combined $18.95 million on March 29, continuing a trend of luxury sales in the city. The sales were handled by the Premier Sotheby’s International Realty agent team of Mick Night and John Pinel, who have been involved in the sales of the five highest-priced, on-market sales of Winter Park homes since 2017. The team also handled the listing for 4 Isle of Sicily, a French Mediterranean estate that sold for $9.7 million, and 1461 Via Tuscany, a 105-year-old Georgian Revival-style estate also on Lake Maitland, which was originally listed at $13.5 million. Two Winter Park lakefront mansions sold on March 29 for a combined $18.95 million, continuing a streak of luxury sales in the city.

The sales were handled by the Premier Sotheby’s International Realty agent team of Mick Night and John Pinel, who, with these two sales, have been involved in the sales of the five highest-priced, on-market sales of Winter Park homes since 2017.

The team handled the listing for 4 Isle of Sicily, a French Mediterranean estate, that sold for $9.7 million. The Isle of Sicily is one of the city’s most exclusive neighborhoods with only 11 homes on the peninsula that juts into Lake Maitland.

Owned by Steven Parker, COO of Park Square Homes, the house originally was listed for $10.95 million. Night said the seller’s patience is how the sale came so close to that goal.

“We had more offers than the one they accepted,” Night said. “That was less about price than about finding the right people and the timing of the sale.”

Night and Pinel represented the buyer for 1461 Via Tuscany, a 105-year-old Georgian Revival-style estate also on Lake Maitland, that sold for $9.25 million, originally listed at $13.5 million.

“That was a tough home to price,” Night said. “We think we paid a fair market value.”

Night said the post-pandemic rush in luxury housing has started to normalize in the past year, though there is still a great deal of interest in lakefront homes. “We have buyers [for lakefront properties] in all price points. We’re just lacking the inventory.”

Winter Park has become a popular destination for high-end buyers looking for primary residences, according to Night. The historic suburb of Orlando “has an allure that has been more uncovered."

The duo is getting ready to list several other lakefront properties in Winter Park ranging in listing price from $4 million to $12 million, Night said, including two on Lake Virginia, another on Lake Maitland and one on Lake Osceola.

Over the past seven years, the pair has been party to the five highest sales of Winter Park homes to come on the market. (The mansion owned by Marc and Sharon Hagle recently sold for $12 million, also on March 29, though that sale was off-market.) Beyond the two sold last month, these include:

Night said, after 35 years in the business, his advice for moving luxury homes is, “Just take the business seriously, focus on getting it right on both the buying and selling side.”
