Teen suspect identified in armed robbery, shooting at Orlando 7-Eleven
Orlando police say they have identified the person responsible for the violent robbery of a local supermarket. Orlando police have identified the 16-year-old suspect in an armed robbery at a local supermarket on March 25. The robbery occurred at a 7-Eleven at 5570 North Orange Blossom Trail and the clerk was held at gunpoint. The suspect was identified by detectives from the police department's violent crimes unit and placed under arrest after he was spotted near a bus stop. Police say Bythwood had a loaded handgun in his backpack when he was arrested. He is facing multiple charges including robbery while wearing a mask, aggravated assault with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

Orlando police say they have identified the person responsible for the violent robbery of a local supermarket.
Officers responded to the 7-Eleven at 5570 North Orange Blossom Trail just after 5:30 a.m. on March 25 for reports of an armed robbery.
According to police, the suspect held the clerk at gunpoint during the robbery and fired one bullet that almost hit them.
Detectives from the police department’s violent crimes unit say they have been able to identify the suspect as 16-year-old Jai’lyn Bythwood.
Police spotted Bythwood Thursday morning as he approached a bus stop on the North Orange Blossom Trail and placed him under arrest.
Police say Bythwood had a loaded handgun in his backpack when he was arrested.

Bythwood is charged with robbery with a firearm while wearing a mask, aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.
Investigators have not explained exactly how they developed Bythwood as a suspect in the robbery.
