The Charlotte, North Carolina-based bank (NYSE: BAC) notified the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency that it will close its branch at 1200 W. Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee. The bank leases the building that houses the branch, which has a drive-thru.

According to the bank's website, the branch will close Dec. 3. No other locations in Orlando are listed to close.

The 4,885-square-foot branch was built in 2004. Representatives with the bank were not immediately available for comment.

In metro Orlando, Bank of America is the second-largest bank, with $13.61 billion in deposits as of June 30, 2023. The bank at that time had more than 49 branches in the four-county metro area.

Meanwhile, bank branches in the U.S. continue to close, but at a slower pace. S&P Global Market Intelligence tracked 1,409 net bank branch closures in the U.S. during 2023, down from 1,854 in 2022 and a record 2,928 in 2021.
