Orlando International Airport Adds NEW Nonstop Flight

A new nonstop flight is coming to Orlando. Orlando International Airport has announced a new nonstop flight from Munich, Germany, to Orlando International Airport starting on March 3rd, 2025. Discover Airlines, part of Lufthansa, will offer three weekly flights from Munich to Orlando (and back) next year. The airline is expanding its services in Munich, with Orlando flights being a part of this expansion. Orlando's International Airport saw a record number of international passengers in 2023, with 6.13 million international visitors in 2025, a 25% increase from the previous year's total of 4.9 million. The top three international origin destinations to Orlando are Canada, the UK, and Brazil.

According to The Orlando Business Journal, Discover Airlines will start offering nonstop flights from Munich, Germany to Orlando International Airport starting on March 3rd, 2025 (yes, that’s still almost a year away). Discover Airlines is part of Lufthansa and will offer three weekly flights from Munich to Orlando (and back) next year. The Frankfurt-based airline is expanding its services in Munich, with Orlando flights being a part of that expansion.

“With the new long-haul leisure routes, Discover Airlines is adding highly attractive intercontinental destinations to the route portfolio at Munich Airport,” Jost Lammers, chairman of the management board of Munich Airport, said in a news release. The leisure carrier is one of the largest airlines based at Munich Airport and — as a combination of tourist and hub carrier — fits perfectly into the Lufthansa Group network.”

Orlando International Airport continues to get new flights from all over the world, and in 2023, saw a record number of international passengers: the airport saw 6.13 million international visitors in 2023, which is 25% more than what it had in 2022 (4.9 million). The airport’s international terminal, Terminal C, opened in 2022, so many of these new visitors are coming through there.

In case you were wondering, the top three international origin destinations to Orlando are Canada, the U.K., and Brazil.

If you are headed to Orlando and want to visit Disney World, you’ll also need to get from the airport to Disney World. You have several options, including renting a car, getting a rideshare like Uber or Lyft, or taking a shared shuttle service like Mears Connect.
