Members from the Orlando Museum of Art volunteer group, Council of 101, were busy at work making final preparations on Thursday for the start of the popular springtime special event, Art in Bloom, at the Orlando Museum of Art. Flashes of fresh flowers were being carefully crafted into bouquets scattered among the galleries, along with their fragrant scents, as local florists carefully pulled together floral creations inspired by the art around the museum. Many of them will be available for purchase and to be enjoyed at home. Now in its 41st year, Art in Bloom is the annual spring fundraiser put on by the Council of 101 that highlights the floral works and raises funds that benefit upcoming exhibits and educational programs at the museum. The special event starts on Friday, April 5, and will run through Sunday, April 7, featuring special guest artist talks, a silent auction, antique dealers, What’s it Worth? appraisals, pop-up shops and more.

General Admission ticket prices are $20 for adults, $12 for children (3-12), and $12 for seniors, active-duty military, and first responders (with ID).
