The Sun Belt will be guaranteed a minimum of five spots in postseason bowl games, including the Camellia Bowl, R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, StaffDNA Cure Bowl, Myrtle Beach Bowl and 68 Ventures Bowl. These games will be played at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. The R+l Carriers Bowl at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La., will air on ESPN2 at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00pm. CT on Thursday, Dec. 19. The conference also holds backup agreements with ESPN Events and the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl and maintains access to the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff.

NEW ORLEANS — After leading the nation with 12 Bowl Season participants a year ago, the Sun Belt joins ESPN in announcing its 2024 Bowl Season slate on Thursday.

The 2024 season will conclude with the Sun Belt guaranteed a minimum of five spots in postseason bowl games—the Camellia Bowl, R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, StaffDNA Cure Bowl, Myrtle Beach Bowl and 68 Ventures Bowl.

The Camellia Bowl—contested at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala.—will kick off the Sun Belt’s Bowl Season at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 14, on ESPN.

The R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La., will air on ESPN2 at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, Dec. 19.

The StaffDNA Cure Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., will be showcased on ESPN at 12:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. CT on Friday, Dec. 20.

The Myrtle Beach Bowl, hosted at Coastal Carolina’s Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C., will be broadcast on ESPN at 11:00 a.m. ET/10:00 a.m. CT on Monday, Dec. 23.

The 68 Ventures Bowl, played at South Alabama’s Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala., will round out the Sun Belt’s guaranteed bowl assignments at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, Dec. 26, on ESPN.

The Sun Belt also holds backup agreements with ESPN Events and the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl and maintains access to the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff (CFP)—which guarantees a spot to the five highest-ranked conference champions, plus the next seven highest-ranked teams.

The Sun Belt owns a .571 Bowl Season winning percentage in the CFP era, trailing only the SEC (.584).
