Candidates prepare for special election following arrest, suspension of Orlando commissioner

Meet some of the candidates who say they want to fill the Orlando city commissioner seat after Regina Hill was arrested and suspended for alleged elder fraud. After Orlando City Commissioner Regina Hill was arrested on fraud accusations, it opened the door for others to advocate for District 5. A special election to temporarily fill Hill's vacated seat is expected later next month and could be a crowded field. Shan Rose, head of a non-profit called "Change for the Community," runs the vision and experience she shares with WESH 2's Dave McDaniel. Miles Mulrain, head "Let Your Voice Be Heard," also expressed his readiness for the special election. Both candidates plan to seek re-election if they win in the next normal election cycle. The process for this special election is still a work in progress.
