Alzheimer's Association to hold annual Purple Gala

Florida actually has the second largest number of residents living with Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month is set to occur in Florida, where Florida has the second largest number of residents living with Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer's Association is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research and its local chapter in Central and North Florida is hosting a major fundraiser. Summer Knowles, a board member, will co-emceeeing the event. Other notable events include a biomarker bill, House Bill 885 (2024), and House Bill 901: Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia Training for Law Enforcement and Correctional Officers.
